Hey guys,

 

My friend is considering to sell his rig to get sth better suited for 3D rendering. His current specs:

  • CPU: Intel Xeon E3 1231v3 w/ intel stock cooler (wants to keep is dark rock)
  • Mobo: Gigabyte z97ud3h
  • RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz
  • GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 780 SC ACX cooler
  • PSU: bequiet! Dark Power Pro 10 1000W (I know it's absolute overkill, it was originally meant for more than one gpu)
  • case: Thermaltake Chaser MK-I

What would be a good price for that rig?

Why sell a nice rig like this though?

then lower if no buyers

Like $700-$800 depending on the buyer.

Why sell a nice rig like this though?

3GB VRAM on the gpu - on complex scenes an issue and he may get a 6 core for faster scene building.

 

 

How old are we talking?

~2 years
