Firestick locking up

My uncle has a firestick and he told me that after a while it locks up and he cant do anything. I thought that clearing the Cache would do it but I read that the problem would come back. We have the fire TV and its not a problem. Is it just becuase the fire stick is underpowered?

That is because it has one of the CPU/GPUs that thermal throttles when it gets too hot like some of the kodi boxes.

Maybe there is an update that help but i doubt it...maybe turn on your AC.

It is just a CPU/GPU cooling flaw because in the only way to fix this same issue in the kodi boxes is to take the top of the box off and place a fan to blow on it then it works fine but the firestick is so small...not sure it would work.
