Alternate has bad customer service.

Care to share some details on how they're bad? From what I've seen, Alternate seems very popular in the Netherlands.

Sure. I only bought from them once and they sent me a DOA z77 motherboard and they offered no refund. Never bought from them since then. Alternate is also seen as a bad e-tailer in the Austrian skinflint equivalent, geizhals.at (reviews are in german though): https://geizhals.at/?sb=3389

 

An example of what some good e-tailers' reviews are like on geizhals (the ones i usually buy from):

https://geizhals.at/?sb=10 --- the most well-known computer e-tailer in austria (has more physical stores than mylemon)
