Your very first Rig

Hey, 

 

I thought it would be interesting to see everyone's first computers. I'm probably not as old as some members but I clearly remember playing Halo CE on my dads work computer, which then became my own in 2003. It played everything at the time. I sort-of miss those days!

 

I believe these were the specs:                                                            Today:

                                                                     

- Intel pentium 4                                                                                    - i7

- Cant remember motherboard brand                                                   - asus z97 ws

- 512mb ram                                                                                          - 32gb mem

- Radeon 9800 Pro                                                                                - GTX Titan x

- 160gb hdd                                                                                           - intel nvme pci ssd

 

Ever since that computer; I've built my own, upgraded and so on. If it wasn't for my dad I probably wouldn't be in the job I have nor would I be as interested in computers!

 

I'd really be interested in seeing other peoples first/ old gaming rigs!

My first personal desktop was a Lenovo H535, Previously had multiple Dell and Toshiba Satellite series laptops.

 

Lenovo H535 

- AMD A10 <-Broke along side the heatsink when the heatsink fell off

- 8GB DDR3 <- was in my main gaming pc, currently sitting

- 1TB Hard Drive <- In sisters rig

- Lenovo motherboard? 

 

The heatsink fell off and damaged and destroyed the rig. Funny that it fell off playing Minecraft

 

Laptops i had were budget toshiba satellite series from ~2005 - 2012 then a budget Windows 8 dell laptop <- screen destroyed by pellet gun prank

Few upgrades here and there. Added an SSD since the V300 sucks, doubled my RAM, upgraded the PSU, and changed the CPU cooler. Other than those changes, hardware's been the same since it was finished. Still need to get a proper motherboard.
