So I have purchased a few parts for my first PC I wanted to build, but a few unforeseen occurrences happened and put my pc on hold. I have not bought any key components yet like the CPU or GPU, but I do own the RAM, MOBO (Z97), Case, and PSU. .

So I am looking for advise on whether or not I should continue with my current build or sell what I have and save and wait for the newer technology to come out. It will be a few more months before I can continue with purchasing parts and I don't think I will have any trouble selling the parts.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

keep your old stuff, and when new components come out, their predecessors will become cheaper

so just wait untill the 400x or whatever comes out, and he 390x will become cheaper

(as an example)
