Help choosing Monitors for new gaming build monitor budget 2,400

Doing my first build and having a lot of trouble choosing monitors. I want a triple monitor setup for surround gaming but also have considered 2-34" monitors.

My biggest issue is am getting sucked into all the hype of 144hz 1m sec and ips and g-sync. And trying to find a monitor with all of that seems impossible, least at my price point.

So not sure what to go with here. I will be doing gaming and want it to be amazing. I also will be doing photoshop. But gaming comes first.

My video cards will be 2-Gtx 980ti in sli.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. My budget is max $800 per monitor. But prefer lass then $500 each.

Asus PG279Q or Dell S2716DG, they're both TN Panels but they're great for gaming.

The 279Q is IPS, not TN, you are thinking of the older 278Q.

As for OP @Armalitecontrol, if you are going all out, just grab 3x Acer XB271HU panels (or a single Acer Predator X34), the same 1440p+Gsync+165Hz+IPS panel found in the ASUS PG279Q, but with far better quality control on Acer's end so you are more likely to get a monitor without defects than going for the ASUS.

thanks y'all that 34" looks awesome.

I'm just saying, $1,200 for the monitor is steep, but... If I had 2x 980 Ti, there's probably a good chance I'd aim for that myself.
