So yeah i upgraded to an I7 6700k and Asus Rog Maximus VIII Hero and when i load into windows the system clicks this its self is not an issue however quite often it will not load into windows and give me a q-code of 99 meaning the board is dead but sometimes it works before i upgraded to the i7 and mobo i never had this issue bit i can think what the clicking is or whats causing q code 99 any ideas?

maybe its because your board is dead? rma that shit!  since you didnt have this issue before you upgraded to i7 and new mobo, its either the cpu or mobo which is bad, id go with what the q-code tells you

yeah I will most likely do that but that there is the whole process of returning it but i does seem the only option.

if your mobo is faulty i wouldnt wait. you never know, it might damage other components, and mobo manufacturer wont pay for that, since they always say that if you have any issues or board doesent work properly, dont use it and contact them + rma it. its quite possible that if you keep using the board and it breaks your gpu or cpu, you are paying for that.

Ok thanks i have just sent the message off to the shop hopefully nothing breaks.

lets hope nothing shitty happens but its in your best interest to ask someone(place you bought it/maybe preferably manufacturer, if you have insurance in the store where you bought it, bring it there) what you should do so then you arent in charge when you have done as you have been told to do. never take responsibility if you dont have to #lifetips
