GPU fan speed

using msi afterburner, it said my gpu was on auto but the fans never came on. so i clicked "user define". idk what that is but know i have 40c at 40%fan speed. is that good?

Just means you're using the fan curve defined in MSI Afterburner instead of the fan curve the manufacturer designed the card with. You can change the fan curve in the Afterburner settings if you like.

 

40C at 40% fan speed may be okay, it depends really.

I have mine pretty high set but thats just my pref as i game with noise cancelling headset on i don't really hear it, mines is set 40c to 55% but i know people who set a tad lower than this maybe 45% ish.
