Hello, i was searching around to found out what my best options we're with a new PC, if i should switch out some of the things in the current one, or just buy a new one, till i found this forum, and thought i would ask for some help. I currently have 2 pcs, 1 old, and 1 abit older. i would like to upgrade them both, and i was thinking i would take the compontents from the "newer" PC and put the into the older, if possible with Motherboard etc. Or should i just buy a new one, and toss the oldest one out?

Pc1 specs "The newer one":

CPU: Intel i5-3570 3,40ghz

Moterboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.  P8H61-M LX

Memory: 2x Kingston Blu DDR3 KHX1600C9D3/4G

Storage: Western Digital WD5000AAKX-001CA0

Video Card:  NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570

Power Supply: Inter-Tech SL-700 - 700W

Pc2 specs "The older one":

CPU: Intel i5-750 @ 2,67ghz

Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. P7H55-M

Memory: 2x Corsair xms3 2GB

Storage:I'm not totally sure what storage is in it, but i think its Western Digital WD5000AAKX-001CA0 as above, but not certian

Video card: AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series

Power supply:Corsair TX750W (After reading a bit on the forum this seems a bit overkill, as far as i can understand?)

I think this is all, I'm sorry if i posted wrong, or stated something obvious, I'm not really a hardware guy myself. Hope someone can give me some advice.

Well that i5 3570 can run a pretty decent card without bottlenecking it so i would get the gtx 570 to the older one and upgrade the graphics on the newer one.

Yeah thats what i've been thinking aswell, just wasent sure if everything would fit together, any recommendations on graphic cards?

---

I'm also thinking more RAM to both computers, can i fit the ram from the newer PC into the old one?

What is your budget for the graphics card.

Throw that PSU away.

Put some money in something like 960. It's worth it. (But I'm an nVidia fanboy, go with AMD) ;)

I need S340. But more Define S'ish

Oh yeah, by the way, over kill PSUs are actually better as all PSUs are most efficient at 50% load also, they can last through more upgrade cycles and PSUs degrade over time therefore they won't be able to always give you the advertised wattage.

Around 250$ +- i would think

Best GPU if you have 250 would be a 380x but that defiantly requires a PSU upgrade as well...but in a way, I'm inclined to say if you swap the two PSUs around, you should be fine?
