I have been looking into starting my second business for a year or so and have decided on a it solutions business. The idea will be to focus on small business IT related things such as web development, web hosting, server maintenance, network administration, email, ect. It would be great if you could answer these questions in the poll for me. I am in the final stages of getting ready to start actually running it.

Edit for security systems I am referring to the camera type not the one on your pc.

$50 per month is honestly a bit spendy, I'd tone it down to like $29.99.

Always hire students for this sort of thing. They're going to be the most ecstatic about this sort of job, are willing to learn (usually) and will work for lower pay, then, once you've decided they've done good work for you long enough, you can give them a slightly higher salary.

Security systems? Like Antivirus? Home security? I don't see why not for either really.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

$50 a month only works out to $35 USD, I know the company I used to work for charged a flat rate of $500 plus $80 per computer and $45 per mobile device (mostly tablets). That is why I figured that $50 is not that steep and even $75 was not a bad price.

By security systems I mean like camera and dvr servers. I have done a good bit of reading and it seems they are quite profitable.

Question 1:

I think it should be lowered to $30-$40.

Question 2:

Simple Yes.

Question 3:

Depends but I would go for a no because Security System(if you refer to anti viruses) slow the crap down your PC, all you need to do is teach them not to download bad software

Ah, OK, gotcha. With inflation that probably makes sense.

If you think they'll be profitable and people will want the service then there's nothing wrong with selling said service.

I am thinking I will go with $50 as that seems to be a fair price point to start with and adjust it as needed,
