Ive got on board ethernet on my motherboard, on the msi gaming 5 z79, but was thinking of getting a PCI ethernet card since i have room for it. Any suggestions on if i should and what to get?

For faster internet, general computing, i game a lot so would be good to have the best connection possible

The nic on your motherboard will be enough for that.

Why exactly would you need/want it? Off the bat, in daily use there's no need for two cards and having a discrete card won't make it faster than an on-board NIC. Especially if it's a PCI instead of a PCI-e.
