Hey hows everyone doing?

So I have a 128gb SSD for my boot drive. I have a 2tb Seagate that I currently have my games on. I just purchased a 480GB SSD and want to run my games on that for better performance.

Now on my motherboard I have 2 sata 3 connections currently being used by my 2 existing drives.

I want to put my new SSD on one of the sata3 connections.

Can I just unplug the HDD from the sata3 and move it to a sata2 and plug the new SSD into the sata3.

Move my game files from my HDD To my SSD and that should be fine?

FYI my motherboard is a gigabyte p55a-ud3

Any help is appreciated.
