Bootable Drive?

So i have an old hard drive that contains windows 7 on it.

 

I have recently assembled a computer that does not have an os on it.

 

When i try to boot from it, it just launches startup repair and says it cannot fix the problem.

 

Is there any way i may be able to reset the os so that i can reinstall it to my computer and also move it to my ssd for permanent use?

 

Really trying to avoid paying $100 for an os i have

Do you have another drive which could run linux then you could you could use a software such as https://www.paragon-software.com/technologies/components/migrate-OS-to-SSD/

yes i have a wd blue 1 tb and a 128gb sandisk ssd

If you can install this on one of the unused drives you are not going to use. http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop then run the desktop migrator and if the windows drive is not broken you should be able to transfer have windows

If you have the windows key you may be able to get a installer and use the key again.
