Soundcard

Go to solution Solved by danomicar,

I wouldn't get one, you aren't exactly using studio quality headphones.

Unless you're really particular about having enthusiast grade sound quality, mobo sound will do great.

Hi!

I am building a new computer(tried for a long time now, but I don't stress about it) and I am wondering, is it really needed to have a soundcard?

Watch the video, I can see that it was released in 2013, have anything changed? I think I will need one, since I have the headsett Astro A50.

Aren't the Astro's wireless? Why would you need a soundcard?

And even if they aren't, soundcards don't make much of a difference if your onboard sound solution is even average.

even if you do need enthusiast sound, a DAC + AMP is the way to go.
