Hello all

i would like the help and input of the community please, i am looking at building a new gaming rig.

at the moment the only parts i have decided on completely are

AMD Piledriver FX-8 eight core 8370 black edition 4.00GHz

HyperX Savage 240GB SSD

Blu-ray optical drive

The SSD i would be happy to change if people think there is a better one i could get, i have a lot of older games on dvd-rom's hence the optical drive.

i am open to most options out there but i do want to stick with an AMD CPU.

i have never done any thing with liquid/water cooling so i would be open to trying that out .

The budget i am working on at the moment is £800 pound sterling / $1637 Canadian / $1182 US ( i used google exchange rate )

thank you in advance for the help

Please dont go with a AMD CPU, they are behind in performance, technology and future compatibility in motherboard offerings.

And the Samsung 850 evo is one of the best SATA SSDs on the consumer market.

BTW does the 800£ include OS?

And here is a build i made for you

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£143.99 @ Novatech)
Motherboard: ASRock H97M PRO4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£68.99 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  (£55.71 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 390 8GB PCS+ Video Card  (£254.99 @ Ebuyer)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case  (£49.98 @ Aria PC)
Optical Drive: LG WH14NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer  (£47.02 @ Aria PC)
Total: £757.75

The £800 does not include an OS as i have a fresh copy of Win10 to use on it, the other idea i had was to clone the boot drive of my current pc onto the SSD to use as the new boot drive

u can make a bootable USB or simply with the cd that has been given to you.

Just read a thread with a list of the information listed that i in hindsight should have put in my original post so hear it is .

My budget is at the moment £800 pounds sterling

I live in the UK but i am happy to order parts from other countries if needed

I would like the new PC to be mainly a gaming system but would also like to be able to stream on twitch with it if possible, i will be running obs from my current system so as to cut the workload of the new one down a bit , the games i will be playing to start with will be ones like Command and Conquer and Dawn of War but later i hope to get crysis and fallout 4 for it as i do not own them at this time.

At the moment i am looking at running one monitor on the new system not sure what resolution though and the cost of a new montior is not in my current budget as i'm using a TV with my current one.

In time i would like to get a good quality gaming mouse and keyboard as well as a headset but to get me up and running i will use the items i have

I'm looking at building this new system as my old one is needing to many upgrades to allow me to play high end games on it as well as stream from it
