can you overclock skylake processors that are not k series. im debating on changing to skylake but i cant afford a k series and thought i heard you can overclock non k series 

CPU: i5 4690k  (overclocked to 4.3ghz)             CPU Cooler: Cryorig h7                 MOBO:  Msi Z97 pc mate             RAM: 8GB HyperX 1600 blue

GPU: rx480  4gb                                                 CASE: Corsair Spec-01 red              OS: Windows 10

PSU: EVGA 500   watt                                       SSD:    v60gb Mushkin ssd                HDD: 1000GB WD BLUE

Yes, so long as you get the right board and then reflash to the right bios. All of ASrock's Z170 chipset boards support this. Just make sure you flash to the "Sky OC" bios found on the support page for your motherboard. When it was in beta, it disabled support for c-states, but now that it's just up on the regular bios update page I'm not sure if that's still the case. Either way, I would still OC the shit out of that i5-6400.

you should be good to got then. 4.4ghz should be no problem at all.
