cfl light bulb question

i have a 25 wat cfl that outputs equivalent of a 100 watt incandescent  bulb

 

my light says max 60w bulbs

since the cfl  bulb is only 25 watts and runs cooler can i use it. its for an out door light bulb  that died and would like to have the extra light outside plus its buried in my closet for almost a yr because it was on clearance for almost nothing and i dint know my wife had bought it
