First build Suggestions wanted

Go to solution Solved by brob,

I would suggest different memory modules. The Ripjaws V are not optimal in combination with the Hyper 212 EVO.

I don't see a point in getting a WD Black hdd. Save the money and go for a WD Blue. I would also choose between the headset and speakers. Use the money save to get a 240GB+ ssd.

A slightly smaller capacity psu of better quality will save a few $. Which can go towards a PCIe x1 WiFi card. I like everything in a case if possible.

You might consider a better monitor. Ideally one that is a little larger and with an IPS panel.

Thank you for the suggestions

Also I have a question about the psu because I have heard a lot of bad things about evga psus and people have said that the rails on evga psus have lots of voltage ripple is this true or not

That's only true on the low end models, this isn't a low end model.

He doesn't need skylake. You could bump him down to a 4690k, and put a 212 EVO in there so it's more budget friendl.

Skylake means he's open to purchase of a Kaby Lake CPU when they come out.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
