Hello there! I'm about to build my first rig where I'm going for the esthetics. It's really cool but it will be built in a few steps due to a normal students budget. Anyways now I'm looking for a good psu I need more than 500W but not more than 650W. It needs to be fully modular (not semi shit) so I can sleeve the cables. Any suggestions? I've been looking at corsairs RM and RMi series but they're quit expensive.

I'm new to the linustechtip.com community but I've been watching Linus for a long time. What I've understood it's a good way to get help!

XFX, seasonic, EVGA and RM corsair stuff is good, the rest: meh.

Go look on http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews for really good reviews on PSU

RM is very meh. RMi is good.

You obviously don't know what you're talking about though. There are many other great brands and models. EVGA can be very hit and miss too with their lower end stuff.

hahah I do mate, I`ve read a lot on a lot of different sites. Ofcourse the lower end stuff isn`t that good, that`s with all brands. And RM isn`t bad at all, RMi is better, but not bad

to game or not to game, that`s the question

not bad, but very overpriced, especially due to its cheap chinese caps.

What I've understood is that the best choice is either EVGA or Corsair. They're high end brands and well liked PSU:s. I'll look around and see what it end up with. Thanks for the answer!

Don't cheap out on ur PSU. If the caps take a crap, then you might destroy your components, set your house on fire, or shock/kill yourself. Go Corsair RMi/x, AX, HX, EVGA Supernova, the "Tier One" PSUs, or Tier Two if you don't have a lot of green to smash on a PC.
