Hey there,

 

So I recently did a fresh install of windows to try and fix some problems I had before...

 

I used to be able to run this game while I still used the APU and the 13.xx catalyst drivers...

 

After I switched to the 260x and refreshed the 13.xx catalyst drivers for it, I could still run the game...

 

After several driver updates, I could no longer run the game...

 

System specs:

CPU: AMD A8 5600k

GPU: Sapphire R7 260x (the 2x DVI OC version)

Catalyst version: Crimson 15.12

 

I can guarantee that the components are fine as I can run other games (Battlefield 3, Metro 2033, Sniper Elite V2, etc.)...

 

I'm currently suspecting the drivers but would not roll back for just this game... (I'd lose VSR support among a few other things)

 

oh and Disney Interactive support (yes, this thing is under Disney Interactive now...) is of no help...

Windows 10?

 

I forgot to mention... I'm on 8.1 right now... and I don't want to run Windows 10 on my desktop yet...

So what do you mean you can't run the game? Does it launch at all? Does it crash at the menu or when it loads into the game?

I get into the menu and when I start the game it crashes...

 

I get a similar issue with Need For Speed Underground 2... I can play in the open world mode but once I try to start a race, it crashes...

 

Edit:

I got the game via steam and have disabled the in-game overlay...

Re-downloading the game later tonight (2.5GB on a 5Mbps line... dis gon git gud...)...

Hahaha thats good to hear. When i looked at the solution it seemed so weird and unrelated to the problem. Hope all goes well
