1000 CAD ($721USD) budget build help!

acercon

I posted a couple days ago about how my friends wants to have a budget build done, the suggestions were amazing but they were too overpriced since it was in USD and he is in Canada. He will use the system for gaming and light usage of adobe premier, for peripherals he wants a monitor (he asked for two but I don't think we can fit it in with that budget) and keyboard, for storage he wants a small SSD just as a boot drive and a 1tb hard drive, the OS will be Windows 10. He also wants to buy all his parts from ( http://www.ncix.com. CAD) and have them assemble it then ship it to him because he doesn't know how to build a system and I can't fly out there to help him. If you guys could use NCIX.com(CAD not the US) to pick out the best parts and best prices for a build that would be greatly appreciated from both of us.

If we can finalize a build soon he will purchase it so the prices don't change too much

I have tried building one and it was with 6300 and r9 390 and some other parts that were not the best. It was around $1042

Good luck and Thank you very much

Went full retard previously :P I wouldn't go with a cheap 500/600B PSU, get something like a EVGA/XFX one instead:

the 380 is probably the best card at this price range right? and should we go for cheaper AMD or intel? For most games we don't need like a 200 cpu but will it effect the performance in premier that much that its worth?

Gonna make one just for comparison sake.

I give up, screw Canadian prices.

Get more money, build better PC.

Anyone who has built a PC did not know how to do it at first.  That is why you build your first.

Over, but I can drop it under $1K with some cuts that would be worse.  Oh, and no SSD.

Hard to do... I recommend looking at used gpu's on ebay as well as used ssd's. Here is what I came up with: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/QLzgVn

don't know how much performance he needs for the games he is playing. you could swap out the 380 for a 290 or a 7000 series from ebay. Also if your friend has any brains at all, so he doesn't ruin his parts, tell him to watch a build guide from LTT and build the pc himself. Also could swap the wd black for a wd blue.

i have a 8350 and an r9 290 and it works fine in after effects. If he adds a bit more to the budget he can get an aio water cooler and overclock the cpu.

Last time I checked, the CPU was an integral component that directly relates to system performance so... HELL F****** NO, you don't cheap out on a CPU for a boot drive.  ;):D
