Updating bios

Go to solution Solved by Zero_Hour,

Hey guys, I've been having problems with a new gpu (http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/518358-r9-390-gpu-bricks-computer-when-plugged-in/) so I've decided to update my bios. I took a flashlight and 100% matched letter to letter for my motherboard and found it, (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4145&kw=GA-Z77MX-D3H1.0#ov)and downloaded the latest non-beta bios. I tried to launch the exec file but it is telling me that it can not run due to an incompatibility with the 64-bit version of windows 7. It also says to message the vendor if they have that version available.

What do I do? I read that you can do something by moving the files to a usb drive and update it that way, but if there is something else I can do I'll want to do that first.

Why not use the Beta Bios, though?

Still, try using their @Bios utility.

you shouldn't really try flashing from windows

you should put the bios on a fat32 formated usb stick and flash in the bios

If you need remote help fixing something on your computer

I can help over Teamviewer if you wish

just msg me on my profile
