Lots of really good routers out there at all price ranges. How big is your home? What type of connection are you using? Whats your wifi adapter? Whats your modem? And anything else you can think of that will help.

 

My friend has a large 4 bedroom 2 story house and uses the NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 and ARRIS SURFboard SB6141 and has Comcast 75Mbps service. His setup work great. Zero problems with the wifi signal. Has a strong and solid signal throughout the entire house and even has a good signal in the front drive way and back yard. His pc is an Alienware Alpha so whatever the adapter is in that is what he uses. In game ping for D3 is always under 40. Its the same for wifi and wired. Limiting factor is Comcast with this setup.

 

The setup I use is a Belkin N600 Wireless Dual-Band N+ Router with a Belkin N600 DB Wireless Dual-Band USB Adapter and my internet service is Frontier FiOS 30 Mbps using their modem (no clue what it is). I live in a small one bedroom apartment. I've had zero problems with this setup and have a strong and solid signal all throughout the apartment. In game ping for D3 is anywhere from 45-55 for wireless and wired.

 

I used D3 for ping because its the only game I play that shows in game ping. When I test it using speedtest I get a ping of 13. Friends setup is around 10. So, what setup is better? Neither. They both perform as they should for the homes they're in. And the limiting factor in most setups is going to be the internet provider

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3
