That leaves the Dell U2515H, the AOC Q2577PWQ and the Acer G257HU in my final round. Does anything speak for the more expensive Dell and AOC or should I go for the Acer?

I love the acer. I'm sure you will love it too. Look at that beauty. Text is sharp and great for productivity too.

Hi guys

I'm looking for an IPS monitor with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 or 3840 x 2160. My preferred size is between 24 and 27 inches and I don't want to spend more than 450$. I'm only a casual gamer and accurate colors are more important to me than fast response times.

So far I've looked at the Dell U2515H, the Dell P2415Q and the AOC Q2577PWQ. Has anyone of you experience with one of these two monitors or can recommend another model that would fit my needs?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not too sure on the scaling of 4K at 27" (Things might be a bit small), I'm fairly sure that 1440p is just about perfect at 27", so I'd say go for that.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

Scaling in windows 10 is a lot better than it is in 8,1 or 7. Besides, if he has a good eyesight he won't need it anyway.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

The Acer G257HU gets a thumbs up for me. 25" is on the smaller size but the colors are vibrant and the matte panel is great. I should also mention that it's a pretty nifty overclocker if you wanted a higher refresh rate.

EDIT: Just noticed the post above be says the same thing, durp.

Thanks everyone!

I just checked the price for the Acer and it's on sale in my preferred online shop, so I'll go for that one. ;)

I have an overclocked GTX 970 and I'm still playing a lot of older games like AC 3 and Far Cry 3 so that should work. :)
