Motherboard; Intel x58DSO CPU; Either Xeon W3530 or E5520
It's compatability list has E5520  I can get one, but I could get a W3530 for cheaper however which should I go with knowing that the E5520 is on the compatability list but the W3530 "Should" also be compatible and quicker should I take the risk and just get the 3530? Also can I OC reasonably  or at all on the X58 Board? I know with some generations of Xeons you can some you can't... Also do I need ECC memory or no? Been a long while since I dealt with X58...

TLDR;
1 ^Above motherboard with which CPU listed?  Confirmed compatible but slower one or take the risk?
2 Can I OC with either setup at all? or will it be locked down?
3 Will ECC work, or be required?  or Can I just go with standard dimms?

I could not find if W3530 works with it however the X5570 is compatible amd should out perform it. Also it does support overclocking. Lastly it does support Ecc but is not necessary.

Thanks, I found some wishy-washy posts on the compatibility on old forums... I'll try and find an X5570 for a decent price, but if any of the 2 chips I already listed support OC'ing I'd probably rather go with them as to spend less and get equivalent performance,  any idea what a reasonable OC would be for an X58 Xeon?  and glad normal dimms are supported... Thinking I'm gonna go E5520 and just try and get a decent OC...
