Installing Win7 using a.. mobile phone?...

So I am getting a new CPU and motherboard this monday and I heard that would require me to reinstall windows. Previously I've used a disc but I could only find a 32-bit version of Win7 on disc at home. My dad recently moved out so I have no USBs to use that are of a reasonable size. The only thing that I can think of with a lot of storage that can be contacted via USB is my phone. My question is, could I use it as my boot device, like a regular USB would do?

crazy driver hacks will be needed, but I don't see why not logically

I really hope so, a very ghetto-style solution but I can't think of any otherd as I only have PATA drives and laptop drives laying around :/

An 8gb usb is like 10 bucks from walmart. Just go get a usb put windows on it. Then install from the usb

I live 1+ hour from the closest place that sells any form of technical devices, and I have absolutely no way of getting there until the next weekend.

like crazy crazy, fooling your PC into thinking your phone is a USB and then redirect the signals ext for the filesystem will be crazy. Just buy a new USB you'll need it sometime in the future anyways.

dude, just go to Walmart/Meijer (or Kroger, Frys, MicroCenter, or your local computer shop) and pickup a cheep SanDisk 16GB Flash Drive.

There is no need to waste a phone and make it too complicated.

50 miles to the closest place that sells computer stuff and I cannot get there until next weekend, so I am looking for an easy solution that wouldn't require me to go to the store

If your looking for an easy solution, don't use a phone.

Also where the hell do you live?

You're getting a new CPU and can't spare $5 for a super cheap 4GB usb drive? Seriously just go on Amazon, spend 5 bucks, and it'll be there in two days if you're too lazy to pick one up in person.

Amazon is about 2 weeks delivery time and getting to a store is not possible until next friday. If I could get a USB that easily, I wouldn't even consider using my phone, right?

If you are only replacing your CPU and mobo there is no need to reinstall windows you would only need to reinstall Windows if you replace your HDD. The worst that you would need to do is re afentacate Windows.

Please "Quote" me if you want me to see your response.

My dad had a non-legit copy, which is the one I referred to as 32-bit. The one on my PC was already installed when I bought it, so I am afraid not
