RAM (3GB) DDR2 was running 2.83/3 earlier took this screenshot, any reason why svchost is using a gig of ram, early today I had 2GB installed and was using <0.5GB of RAM, installed another gig to let minecraft have 2GB and have 1GB for system crap, but now idk.

svchost runs DLL's so it could take up some memory, but there's a chance it may be a virus.

It probably isn't a virus but you can do a scan if you want to.

svchost runs DLL's so it could take up some memory, but there's a chance it may be a virus.

It probably isn't a virus but you can do a scan if you want to.

I doubt that it'd be a virus being I installed this OS fresh just last week

Run a virus scan anyways just to be safe.

the more ram installed the system will find use for it.

But 2.9GB of the 3 at idle isn't normal

Turns out Windows Updater was causing all the problems, but for now it seems fixed
