Multi-able moniters question

I have a second monitor and i was wonder if i can use the vga slot the motherborad as the second out put considering the vga on my graphics card is being used by my current moniter?

90% sure you cant...im pretty sure when you plug in a graphics card, it disables the motherboards graphics plugins

can`t you just by an adapter to VGA?

I have never tested but general principle would say you couldn't. I will test my own setup when I get home though.
