PC won't start properly PLEASE HELP!

I've recently upgraded my CPU, GPU & motherboard. (i5 4690k, MSI R9 380, MSI Z97 Gaming 5)

however I am having problems.

 

Everything works perfect other than my RAM slots 3,4 and my audio.

 

RAM SLOT ISSUE

Both of my 4Gb RAM sticks are the same and both work individually, however if either of them are in slots 3,4 my PC will restart itself every 2seconds. I want to be able to have them in either slots 1,3 or 2,4 but because slots 3 & 4 are making my PC not bootup I'm not able too. (I have up-to-date BIOS)

 

AUDIO ISSUE

Since my new build my audio does not seem to work properly. My microphone works however headphones don't. It signals that audio is coming through although I cannot hear anything. Everything is unmuted, full volume and up-to-date.

can you not return the MOBO? Because that doesn`t really sounds like a good board to me

That's most likely a bad mobo.

 

I would call MSI tech support. I haven't had any issues with their customer support, they're pretty good.

When you update a motherboard you need to do a fresh install to assure everything is working right.

But as far as the ram issue goes sounds like the mobo is bad
