Best CPU

Im am trying to find the best CPU for less than $250USD. I need it to be an LGA1150 socket and have more that 4 cores, preferably not overclockable as my motherboard is locked.

You're not going to find more than 4 physical cores on LGA1150. Your closest bet is going to be 4 cores with hyperthreading.

I'd recommend the Xeon 1231v3 - 4 cores, 8 threads.

Will be better than the Xeon for everything speed-wise if it fits the budget.

There are no socket 1150 CPUs with more than 4 cores.

Thanks for all the ideas but I am probably going to go with the xeon 1231v3 just because it fits my budget and I think is good enough for what I do.

It's a fine choice, beware though, the xeon doens't have integrated graphics so you will have to have a dedicated GPU!

I have an Asus strix edition 960 2GB. That should do the job.

Micro Center has a sale in store only right now for a 4790k for $250, that is a heck of a deal, unfortunately there isn't one near me. OP if you have one near you I would jump on that as soon as possible.
