android replacement for Ipod touch?

I currently have a ipod touch 4th gen, and really want to buy something new, but IOS is boring to me and I want something new. is there a equivalent android or windows or other type of mp3 player that is quite similar to an Itouch? as in, has apps and a touch screen, at least 8gb that sorta thing.

You want an mp3 player or a phone? I saw an android mp3 player at best buy and was like wtf. For the same price you could just get a phone. Windows I had the Zune HD which was kick ass, but now MS has stopped making them and the prices for them are too high. So best bet is just go with a phone or keep your ipod.

There are older and smaller models that are probably cheaper, but will most likely be used. I would personally get one, but I already have a smartphone(HTC DNA) to do all of it for me. Just remember that it has 480p resolution and comes with Android 2.3.5. It comes with 8GB internally but you can add a 32GB SD card if need be, front and rear camera, etc.

I don't think that there is a proper competitor on the android side, but the google nexus 4 costs $300 for 8gb and comes unlocked so you never even have to use the phone part of it.
