What is the best Intel based build for gaming at 1080P single monitor

i don't need a os or any peripherals 

the budget is £720 

i also don't need a HDD

the only thing im not sure about is the motherboard

and should i go for the unlocked 3570

I dont think that gpu fits in the case. If you need a great small case then the n200 is great for its price, no body recommend the 350d, its clear that £90 is crazy for his persons price range. I would recommend a Fx 8320 as its much cheaper then a 3570 and the boards arent to expensive either.

all benchmarks show that it outperforms the amd equivalent (8350). 

that isn't true and also the amd equivalent is a fair bit cheaper especially when you account for cheaper motherboard too also an overclocked 8350 will beat a regular 3570

In most games, Intel is the better bet, since most games do not take advantage of all eight cores on the 8350. Most games are geared towards quad cores.

In most games, Intel is the better bet, since most games do not take advantage of all eight cores on the 8350. Most games are geared towards quad cores.

Games are generally light on the CPU, even if it doesn't rely on multiple cores.

 

Though I don't know the future, newer games will probably take advantage of multiple cores

at this pricepoint though a 8350 would be a better cheaper option
