So I just got my LG UC87 and there was something on it and I lightly used my finger to remove it, now there is a smudge on my monitor, what should I use to clean it? I know that I should not use paper towels and not to use ordinary dish cloths and no window cleaner or alcohol based cleaners

Your t-shirt would be enough. Moist a small part of it with water, wipe. Then use the dry part to wipe away the moisture on the screen.

No you need a specific chemical to clean it, go to the pharmacy and ask for dihydrogen monoxide.

I've cleaned many monitors with an anti-glare coating using a microfiber cloth dipped in distilled water with a very slight amount of soap (not enough for suds to form). It must be distilled water, using tap water and soap left very visible stains (although they were removable by re-cleaning it properly with distilled water and soap afterward).
