pci E cable

So my power suply : http://pcpartpicker.com/part/fractal-design-power-supply-fdpsuin3b450w

has the full 8 pin pci E, but the cable I need to put in the PSU, which is a white cable only has 7 connectors, is this normal?

 

this also goes for some peripheral cable that need to go into the PSU. There are 6 pins in the PSU but only has 5 connectors in the cables.
