Hi guys my friend has this old pc. He want to upgrade it but he doesn't know what to put in it i want to help him.

These are the specs

Cpu: Intel Core 2 Duo E85300 3.16GHz

Mobo: Gigabyte G31M-S2L

Gpu: Nvidia Geforce Gtx260

Ram: 4Gb Dual-Channel DDR2 speed unknown

Hard drive: 465Gb Samsung

Psu: Unknown but i supports a Gtx260

 

The games he plays most is Minecraft and Battlefield 3 he want battlefront but it ain't gonna happen. The budget is around 100-150£ and the shops needs to be in Eu. Most preferred site is Amazon Uk. I have an i3 cpu on lga1150 he can get. Thanks

Already have the CPU?

So he needs a motherboard and a GPU in £150.. B85 + GTX 950. With the spare money he can get a better PSU and 8GB of RAM.

If you can try to throw an SSD somewhere in the budget. Everone needs an SSD these days and at least in the states you can pick up cheap 120GB ones for $40.

Never underestimate a good 7200RPM HDD :P
