Glass on webcam cracked.

I have quite a good webcam that I spent a decent amount of money on. (£40)

 

I dropped it yesterday and today I noticed a crack going right in front of the lens. and you can notice it in sunlight (I have a window right next to my setup)

 

Is there any way to replace the glass?

Nope, easiest way to just buy another one.

 

You could also try going through warranty and see if they will replace it/allow you to pay for a replacement glass piece.

Is it a lens or is it just a lens protecting layer?

I think it's just the glass over the lens because I can't notice any problems with the lens.

You might be able to go without it.
