Motherboard for my z97 build

Hello there,

I was wondering if someone could help me chose a motherboard for my build.
I am going to list full specs down bellow.
There are few motherboards that really caught my eye, one of which is Asus Maximus VII Hero and maybe even a Sabertooth z97 Mark 1. Any suggesion is welcome, even from other manufactures than Asus.
Speaking of color scheme, don't think of it. Today there are many ways of hiding colors I don't like without even voiding warranty, like 3d-printing a PCI-e slot guards that are all-matte black which would cover the red color on motherboard or for example some 3m masking tapes to cover red parts on the GPU, while I can't see the backplate because I'm using a tower cooler.

Full system specs:

CPU: Intel i7 4790k
COOLER: Noctua NH-D15
RAM: G.Skill Sniper 2x4GB, going to replace it very soon for 16GB or more kit of Vengence
GPU: Asus Strix GTX980ti
PSU: Corsair RM850
Case: Fractal Define r5 - I think ATX is the max size that could fit in there, tho I don't even need anything bigger

How much do you want to spend on the motherboard?

Up to 300usd I guess, I don't really need things like Maximus VII Formula...

In other words, I could just get something like Asus z97-A which would give me all the features I wanted, room for a second gpu in the future and still save me a 100usd?
