DisplayPort is optional, but if you're limited to those two, go for HDMI.

DVI is usually for monitors,

HDMI is usually for TV's

They both have the exact same quality and speed

If we're talking objectively, HDMI. It can output more than what DVI can, has audio output, and the connectors aren't as bulky.

 

However, realistically, it doesn't actually matter that much in regards to computers, except for a few things.

 

Though really, DisplayPort master race.

HDMI is basically a version of DVI, so neither is "better" than the other, they're both the same, except that HDMI has a few more modern features such as inline audio.
