So I've been saving for a new graphics card, and I have been doing research on high end GPU's. I have slimmed down my final choice to either the 7950 or the 7970. But which should I get? Is the 7970 worth the extra $100?

I plan on using whichever card I purchase in Crossfire mode in the near future, with a tri-monitor Eyefinity setup, each monitor being 1920x1080. So, what do you guys think? Any and all input will be appreciated! :)

If you are choosing between a 7950 and a 7970, get the 7970, they have better games in the never settle bundle :P

Actually, they have the same games for the bundle. You're thinking of the 7850.

I would go with the 7950 because you can play pretty much any game that is available today on high settings. You can get around 60 FPS in Far Cry 3 when you overclock this card and run it on ultra preset 1080p with no anti-aliasing. Linus tested this and got these results. Video about this benchmark:

Thank you for the input! I have concluded, based on your input, that the 7950 is the better way to go. Just got finished ordering the MSI R7950, thanks again for the input! :D
