did u render the file?

 

even movie maker could render it to a small file

MP4 awful quality... When I convert it. I am using VLC.

Yes I rendered it in Sony Vegas. How do I render to a lower file size with the same quality?

Anyone know a good alternative to AVI, I have a AVI file which is 11GB and I don't want to upload that to youtube as it said it would take 3 days. Is there a lossless file compression like AVI? 

Just import the avi to your editing program of choice (even Windows Movie Maker would work) and just render it in good settings (1080p, 60fps or 30fps, 15Mbit rate) and it will be a lot smaller

Use Handbrake to compress it.
