Go to solution Solved by mad dudy,

$40 on amazon http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-100b10600kr

I'm in the process of gathering parts for my first pc build, and I've reached a conundrum. I intend to use an AMD Gigabyte R7 260x. Newegg says that this will require a 450watt power supply at least. I currently have a CX430 PSU from Corsair (Brand new, 430watts, 80plus bronze rating if it helps) and I want to use it for my build even though its 20watts under the requirement. Since GPU's are used for gaming, and I won't be playing intense games (Mostly Minecraft, Rivals of AEther, and Portal) with the exception of possibly playing Fallout 4 in the future, I think I'll be ok. But since this is my first build and I am a nub, I would like some more experienced opinions in the matter. For reference, I am using an AMD Athlon X4 860k for a processor, and I would likely have skype or music playing in the background as I play the games. The only other demanding tasks I would do wouldn't involve the graphics card that much, being programming and video and picture editing. So what do you think? Will this PSU be sufficient?

I already listed the processor and GPU, so here's the rest:

MoBo

MSI A78M E35 V2

RAM

G.Skill Ripjaws X 16gb

Storage

Intel 320 series 160GB SSD

Unbranded 1TB hard Drive

Sorry about the blue, and the hard drive might not be unbranded. Most of these parts were purchased a while ago by my parents as christmas/birthday gifts, and I don't remeber what the hard drive was. It might've been a WD black, but I'm unsure.

Ok. So I take it I should return my PSU? I had EVGA's 500watt in mind. I don't think a 600watt is necessary. Thanks for the responses!
