Internet difficulties

So I've had this problem for eight days now and I'm getting desperate. I'm not getting any internet and it may be for two reasons; one is that I need to connect to a private network but Windows 10 firewall keeps connecting to public networks. If I mess around enough with Windows firewall I can get Internet, but after a few times of shutting down and turning back on it goes back to public networks. Anyone know how to fix this?

Another thing that it might be is antivirus softwares. I think this because I've been changing softwares a lot these past few days and any time I do is about the time when my internet starts working again. Are these things related? Please help, it's been 8 days...

Oh and by the way of its important I'm using Windows 10 and an Ethernet cable
