Im tired of my fans running all the time.

Is there any way to make my fans stop when the system is not doing anything / idling / light load?

I dont want to have a switch to stop them myself, i want them to do it automatically :)

Speedfan would be best tool for it. It uses CPU temp (or GPU temp) as reference. Its bit difficult to config but results are well worth it.

I have that, but for some reason i cant open up speed fan. Ive seen some videos from linustechtips, where he uses a mcubed tbalancer. Do you know how that works?

I know its hardware controller which doesn't have any display. Hence Linus calling it hard to config.

So the only real thing to do is trying to make Speedfan work again?

Well there are NZXT Grid+ and Corsair Commander Mini if you want hardware controller. I think both have fan curve capability but I don't know if they alow 0rpm fans.

I would look into your MoBo's UEFI too. Just about every consumer board is shipping with some kind of built in fan control now.

My z97x-soc has plenty of fan control, but im not able to make my fan stop completely. They aren't loud. But I want them to stop when system is not pushed.
