sorting out computer speakers

so im getting an ultra wide monitor and need some speakers that are good all round for music, movies, and gaming, i have 2 in mind, the vanatoo t1, or the elac b6's plus an amp

they are roughly the same price when converted to nzd, so what should i buy, or should i get the vanatoos and sell them if i dont like? (BTW both will be paired with a DAC

According to one reviewer, the Elac's aren't great on desk unless you have them super close.  I would go with the Vanatoos, unless you plan on sitting 6ft or more from them most of the time.

i watched that review as well, i  asked him he said the vanatoos also, just wanted any others opinions
