Wait... sounds like you tried to add ddr3 to a ddr2 system?

 

Can you post your computer specs and the ram you bought

My pc supports a DDR3 and i bought

my mobo Supports DDR3 2400+(OC)/1866/1600/1333/1066/800 non-ECC, un-buffered memory

 

And when i run the complete chip set of 4, 4gb ram the pc doesnot start up correctly
