So I have just built a new computer, but nothing happens when I turn it on. Yesterday, only a green light turned on, on the motherboard, but it doesn't turn on anymore. I reseated the RAM, reset the CMOS, and tried every ram slot. Nothing turned on, so would this be a power supply issue? Motherboard issue? Is a part dead?

If you want, I can get pictures of the motherboard.

Is every cabble connected properly? Is the Front IO connector to the motherboard? Is the PSU on?

Make sure all Power connectors are seated correctly.

If they are already corretly seated to the eye, reseat them.

Especially make sure, that the CPU power connector is properly connected.

Everything is seated and I reseated most of them too. Want an image of the motherboard?

-snip-

You could build the System outside of the case, to make sure you don't have a short anywhere.

But if you'd like you can make a picture first.

Before I may have to take everything apart, let me tell you that the 24-pin connector can be pulled out without any force. Anything horribly wrong there?

It should be all the way in, so that the little lock has snapped.

You shouldn't be able to pull it out, whithout pushing on the little lock.

The same applies to the 8pin CPU power connector.

If you have a splitted connector on the PSU, make sure, that all 8pins are securely locked on the mainboard.

I now have a green light. The 24-pin connector wasn't plugged all the way in
