HELP

Dangerboyy

I don't know where to put this, so it is here. I have just built my first pc that I've been saving up for, for a year (2 Christmas'). I just finished the build, and I turned it on. Nothing but a little green light on the motherboard. I party with my family for Christmas all day, then I turn it on again. Now nothing happens at all. Is the power supply dead? Motherboard dead?

A R9 390? with 650 watts?

Maybe there's not enough juice going to the PC?

Wow this was old as heck, Need to update this signature!

So turn off the power supply, then unplug and replug the RAM? I will make sure to check every RAM slot. I cannot work on it atm, but in the morning I can, so can you please tell me more potential solutions?

pull the graphics card. hook monitor to motherboard. reset cmos. boot with 1stick of ram.

If this still doesn't work and you get no post make a new forum tomorrow

So, I just reseated the ram. Did nothing. Reset CMOS. Did nothing. Used one stick of ram. Nothing happens. All of these tests didn't have the gpu in, but isn't it ok because the cpu has integrated graphics?

So when you press the power button , nothing happens? At all? If so , see if you plugged the power switch correctly. But before that , remove the power switch cable and use a screwdriver to short the 2 pins (put the tip of the screwdrivers on the 2 pins , check the manual) on the motherboard to turn it on manually.

Now a green light turns on (not from your suggestion, from another), but nothing else.

No... Just a green light on the motherboard.

Try what I said earlier. I don't think it's the power supply. Might be a broken power switch.

Would this mean the motherboard is messed up?

No it means the power switch is fine xD. Anyway , try taking out the motherboard from the case and plug in everything except the graphics card, sata cables and front panel audio , usb. After that see if it turns on. If it doesn't , try using different RAM sticks in different slots. If nothing works , take out the cpu and check for bent pins.

Are there any other solutions that don't involve taking everything apart?

It'll be easier to troubleshoot if you take everything apart. But here's one more thing: Check if your CPU 8pin power is plugged in correctly all the way in. Other than that I think you've done pretty much everything.
