so i am going to clone my windows drive and i need to get my hard drive down to at least 240gb as that is my sandisk's size.

So i downloaded WinDirStat and it says my whole (C:) drive is 92.8 gb which is out of a 1 tb drive.

Now my OS (Windows 10 Consumer preview) apparently takes up 70 Gb as my 1Tb drive only has 930gb usable.

i may not get this all right that is why I am asking for help....

so I should be able to go ahead and clone the drive and be great right.... wrong

my Windows file explorer says my (C:) drive has 403 Gb free.... So now i am very confused because this is over a 300Gb difference in space that i have no idea which program is right.

Now i have several reasons i dont want to just reinstall windows and be done and those are:

  • I dont own Windows i just use a consumer preview edition that is not available any more
  • I also want to save some downloads for games such as starwars Battlefront as my internet is so bad it took me two days and a night to download that game
  • Finally this just seems an easy solution

Can anyone help me realize what im missing also im sorry for this being on Christmas day

<p>Wish I could have this already!! : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qTLRjX
