Windows 10 Install

Hello, today I built my PC and my parents got me a WINDOWS 10 HOME USB flash drive. I plugged it into my computer and 'mashed' F12 and it came up with a list of items i can boot too. I have tried everyone and they all say the same thing "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER" I have pressed enter but it shows the same message. I have tried all usb ports and is still not working.

 

My specs are 
Fx 6300
2X4 GB HYPER X RAM
MSI R9 380 4GB
EVGA 500W PSU
Fractal Design Core 1100
Gigabyte 78 LMT - USB3

You dont mash anything, the pc will prompt you to select a boot drive, if that dosent work, the usb boot drive is probably corrupt. Also, why dont u just ask ur parents?

My parents are not very techy Plus by mashing i mean pressing it multiple time. It also does not prompt to select a boot drive.

I pressed nothing and it still has the same problem ;(

Boot into the BIOS and set your first boot device as the USB drive. 

Or force boot to the USB drive. 

make sure you use a USB 2.0 port to avoid any issues with USB 3.0

are you sure the usb drive is bootable? did your parents buy it like that or make it themselves? get another computer and see what is on the drive you might have to make it bootable.

Sorry for the late reply, the usb 2 helped me out and made it work. Thank you all for the help.
