Greetings internet

I am having issues with fans with bearing noise.
I have come across the possibility of greasing them to fix this issue.

I have been searching far and wide for the right kind of oil,
but somehow the 2 kinds i am sure about, is sold out everywhere.

Last night i was suggested to use a Teflon grease, which i happen to have at home.
it seems like a good choice, being a recommended product and
having a temp. range from -50 to +250. (and low friction and so on..)

So my questions are these:
- Will the teflon lube have any negative effect when it meets the already existing grease within the fans bearing?
- Maybe it is conductive?
- anything i am not seeing/considering here?

As for the Teflon lube.. i cannot link, its some industrial stuff that i cant find online.
but it is described as a all-around lube that isn't corrosive.

Google it!

Been there, done that.

Notice how many things i am NOT asking about.

I am asking about the things i remain unsure about,

after having researched it to the best of my ability.

If you dont know the answer, consider my questions directed towards someone else. :)

I believe you asked about this and I linked something like this:

http://m.lowes.com/pd/DuPont-4-oz-Silicone-Lubricant/3550504

Silicone/Teflon based lubricants won't have any issues with the plastics or electronics of the fan since it is non-conductive and is thicker or has a higher viscosity where it will not drop or run or easily like other lubricants.

As long as you are able to disassemble your fan you can oil it without issue. One of he benefits with having Teflon with the silicone is that it will continue to wrok as a dry lubricate even if the oil was to dry out overtime.
